Fabian Haak, M.Sc.

Profile

Fabian Haak is a research associate at the Institute of Information Science at TH Köln (University of Applied Sciences). He is part of the team led by Prof. Philipp Schaer and works in the area of information retrieval and recommender systems.

As a member of the ESUPOL team, Fabian researches how search engines can influence political opinion-forming and political issues. With a B.Sc. in Communication and Multimedia Design and a M.Sc. in Marketing and Media Research, Fabian feels at home where IT, social science and communication meet. His previous research focused on text mining and natural language processing, especially sentiment analysis.
